Fundraisers

Rockwood Public School (RPS) students participate in many fundraisers that support our programs, trips and resources for students. In the past, proceeds have gone towards the Grade 5 swim program, class trips, iPad and chromebook purchases and board games for indoor recess during inclement weather. Classroom teachers also initiate fundraisers to support charities that help the less fortunate.

Fun Night - May 31, 2019

Parents and students enjoy our annual Fun Night with games, food and a raffle. Students have the chance to win $5.00 each week by selling raffle tickets. Fun Night proceeds have been used towards the Grade 5 swim program, library donations, class trip contributions, new milk fridges and new playground balls/equipment. Grade 7 and 8 students are encouraged to volunteer.

Terry Fox Run

Our students participate as a school in the annual Terry Fox Run held in September each year. In addition to the physical benefits, our students raised over $4,200.00 in September 2018  to support the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.

School Council Campaigns

October 2018  Noah Martin's pepperettes and summer sausage; this campaign raised $1970
November 2018  Coupon Sticker Card, $600 raised
December 2018 Paint Nite, $713 raised

Food Drives

Students collect and donate boxed food items, juice, canned meats, and personal hygiene items for the St. Joseph's Food Bank and Salvation Army in past years; in the fall of 2017 and 2018 for St Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen.  Thank you for your generous food and money donations.

CPAN

will be announced - RPS collects new and gently used snowsuits, footwear and other outerwear items in support of the Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN).  Collection will be up to mid December.

Secret Santa Holiday Gift Shop

December 9,10, 2019 - Children experience the joy of giving while purchasing gifts for family and friends in the safety and security of their own school. Children learn the importance of saving and budgeting their money.  Last year $668 was raised.

Little Caesar's

will be announced - 2017-2018 campaign runs in February, 2017.  While everyone enjoys the yummy pizza treats purchased, RPS was able to raise over $3078 towards 2018 year end class trips.

Scholastic Book Fair

In spring 2019 our book fair was a huge success.  Everyone was able to purchase from an awesome selection of books and fun items.  Rockwood PS was able to purchase over $2500 in books for the school and classrooms.  Thanks to everyone for supporting this event!

Rockwood Clothing

Rockwood Raven apparel is available for purchase online only at https://rockwoodpublicschool.entripyshops.com/. Families are able to go to the supplier's website at any given time, select the items that they'd like (style, size, colour) and pay online.  Free shipping for orders over $85 delivered directly to YOU.

Moncion Metro Receipt Program

Students can bring in grocery receipts for over $25 stamped by cashiers at Moncion Metro grocery store (Pembroke Street East). The receipts are redeemed for grocery items for special events. Thank you Moncion Metro!
