Student Leadership Opportunities at Rockwood Public School

Students at Rockwood Public School are encouraged to participate in—and even initiate—leadership opportunities that help build confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of community.

In addition to serving as representatives on our Student Council, GSA, or Indigenous Club, students can take on a variety of leadership roles throughout the school. Senior students often assist with the organization and sale of our yearbooks, help run spirit days and school-wide dress-up events, and support younger grades by leading play days and track and field activities.

Leadership at Rockwood isn’t limited to older students—our younger learners are also given meaningful opportunities to shine. They can develop mentorship skills by participating in lunch monitoring, helping with the milk program, working as reading buddies, and supporting our recycling initiatives and Green Club.

At Rockwood Public School, every student is encouraged to find their voice, contribute their strengths, and help make our school an inclusive and vibrant place to learn.
